How do you transfer to a new machine if you do not have a unique key? So there is no deactivation for the digital license and no transfer to a new system without linking to a Microsoft account? Hi folksJust adding a remark to what has been said here.If you have Windows installed as a Virtual Machine on VMWare and you copy it to a new machine - at first boot on the new computer you'll get a prompt for the VM 'I coped it' and 'I Moved it'.Choose the 'I Moved it' option and activation remains. If you use the 'I copied it' option you'll be prompted again to re-activate windows which might fail.Just a note here for people wanting to test Windows VM's on a variety of computers - note though for the EULA you can only run 1 of these VM's at a time as it's 1 license.Cheersjimbo.
